The Alvira family appears to have primarily come from the island of Vieques and Ceiba, Puerto Rico.  They later moved to Naguabo, Puerto Rico.  My name is Sigfredo Alvira and I created this website  to get to know my family members better and to allow other members of my family to meet and get to  know the rich history of the Alvira Family of Puerto Rico.  My father's name is Carmelo Alvira Benitez. From time to time I will continue to update the family tree with names and photographs of family members.
